dashboard lights click on and off

Post by vibewmn »

Hi all, I've had my 2005 vibe since about 2007 or so and during all that time my odometer, gas gauge, etc lights will click off and after a time will click back on. During service I will ask the mechanic to have a look to see why it does that and they can't figure it out. I've checked the fuses so that's not the problem. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

Could it be the auto headlights switching on and off? Does it do it if you turn the headlights on manually? What do you have the dimmer switch set to?

What do you have the dimmer switch set to?this would be the first thing to check if i were you. took me a few days when i bought my 03 to figure out what the heck it was doing. The sensor is poorly place on the left side for some years and shadows from the A-pillar make it think it is night time and turn the headlights on and adjust the interior accordingly.I think you'll find, if you turned the headlights on manually that it will stop clicking on and off as you drive around.

What do you have the dimmer switch set to?Many people have solved this problem with this. I did. Just make sure the dimmer dial isn't too low. This is one of the few problems I have with the auto lights.
