HVAC unit will only blow hot air
Greetings all! I used to hang around these forums years ago when I first got my 2003 Vibe, but haven't checked things out in years. I'm hoping someone here can help me with an issue we are having with our 2003 Vibe.The problem we are having is that the AC/Heater will only blow hot air. It makes no difference if you turn the AC on or not, the air coming out will only be hot air, as if the heater is turned on max. The vent selections work fine, in other words, I can changes which vents the air is coming out of using the control knob without any issues. I can also control the fan speed just fine, going from Off then Low, Medium, High, etc with no problem. But no matter where the temp control is set, all the way cold or all the way hot, the air will only blow hot.I've checked all the fuses and didn't find any fuses blown under the front dash. Could it be a relay problem? Any help would be appreciated! Love my Vibe, but getting sweated out of it these days!Thanks!

I don't have any advice unfortunately, but I can tell you my AC in my 2003 stopped blowing cold this past summer, so maybe it has an economic life before it needs servicing. I haven't looked into what servicing or cost would be required, as it's not an issue for me.

Yeah, we had the AC serviced this summer, and everything was working fine for a while, but now we're stuck with only hot air. I'm not sure exactly when it started, as my wife's been driving the car, and it wasn't until I went to drive it recently that I noticed the issue. Trying to see if I can fix it, but no luck so far.

It sounds like the temp control has become disconnected from the dial. On the passenger side under the dash there is a little wire that comes out and attaches to a post on a white dial-looking thing. Reattach the wire to the post and you should be good to go.
