So I was at the local Chevy/Buick/GMC (and Formerly Pontiac) dealer ordering some touch up paint for the Vibe and spotted a mint condition 2005 Buick LeSabre with 63,035 miles on it. It was a great price so I bought it to keep my Vibe company. Anybody who knows about these cars knows that they get good gas mileage for the size and power they have(19 city/29 HW)This is at the other end of the spectrum from my Vibe (all luxury and gadget filled)My first few cars were big cars like the one I just got and I love the ride and power of them. Sadly the first couple of them were underpowered emission device clogged cars with large V8's with 140HPThis will be the car I drive to work since start and stop traffic with a clutch sucks and the Vibe for longer tripIncidentally the Dealership I got this car from is the original dealer my Vibe was sold at to the original ownerFor those Maryland folks who might know the place, the dealer is Win KellyHere are some pics to keep the folks with the pitchforks away
We do just the opposite - drive the Vibe (it is AT) for local trips, use the T&C for trips as it is more comfortable. But my SWB T&C 3.3L only gets about 24 mpg with 90/10 gas ethanol blend we are forced to use.

Nope.I did test drive the following there2006 Impala SS (the one with the V8 in it)Chevy Cruze( a very nice car and nowhere like the Cobalt or Cavalier it replaces)Chevy Volt- Nice car with a lot of potential in the future. I like the idea of a little gas backup engine to help generate power and extend the electric motor range)Chevy Camaro- I like the looks and the base engine is smooth but the days of 2 door cars for me is gone.Pontiac Solstice- This was a used low miles vehicle that looked and drove nice. i liked the looks of the Solstice and also the Saturn Sky and the price was right on this car but this car was 2 door and had less room then the Camaro Win Kelly is known for selling lots of trucks and lots of Vettes. I used to work there while going to college( I changed oil) and they cater to a clientele that is not concerned with price as long as it has the features they want.
Well I would like to do that but sadly in the past 2 months traffic on my commute on 495 (Capital Beltway near Washington DC) has increased more and more due to the Base Realignment thing and driving a car in traffic in start and stop traffic with a clutch gets real old. The road was always traffic prone but it has become worse in the last 2 months. If I can get 25-27 MPG I am happy.Besides if you are going to be stuck in traffic a car with couch seats and a auto trans is a nice idea
that's a dead ringer for the one my octogenarian grandparents sold about 6 months ago. it was too big and floaty for them, so they went back to an Accord.
Indeed it was owned by a 80 something year old couple that traded it in. It is in nice shape and the sales manager kept saying it was one of the nicest cars that had come into the department. As i worked at Win Kelly changing oil to help pay for college i know a lot of these folks including the MD State inspection folks and I know that they go over the cars with a fine tooth combI hope it gives me at least 60,000-80,000 more miles
