fog lamps

Post by sublevel4 »

Ok i have been lurking on here for awhile, This site has been a great source of info. Now i have a question. I have an '05 and it has fog lamps. However i don't think they work. I am guessing they are supposed to come on automatically. How do i trouble shoot them. I have never seen them on so i don' t know if its bulbs, wiring, relay, etc.

The switch will be on the stalk next to the main headlamp switch. The left side stalk, with the blinkers/brights. Mine (09) will twist forward and back. The first generation should be almost identical.

FYI, they only come on with the low beams, no other time...something in the manual about different stat laws...etc. So make sure you try them out with the low beams on before you buy new bulbs

Yeah, they are not very bright so you normally wouldn't notice them. I never really used them.
