Got me a new winter project! (Updated w/Pics & Vid)

Post by DiveNut »

Hey folks,After a long hiatus from building old school rides, I finally picked up a new winter project car. My daughters (couple of 10 yr old gearheads) and I plan to get her in shape for some 1/4 mile action next summer. I think we have a nice base to start with:1972 Duster340 V-8 w/J code heads, headers, 727 tranny w/reverse manual valve body, 8 3/4" rearendPlans for a few other little performance "mods" are already in the works. Here's a few pics from my phone. But I will post up some better pics and videos when I take possesion of the car on Sunday. While I love my good old Vibe, old American Iron has always been my passion. Will keep you posted,Pat

That is too cool! Keep the updates coming, that is one of my dream cars. You should consider bringing it to the nationals next summer.

Thanks Kincaid. I actually was a Chevy guy for over 30 years mainly because they are so much cheaper to build...but always liked the old Mopars. Loving the Duster and can't wait to get her to the strip next year.
