FM Signal Booster Woes
Hey all,When I installed a DNX 9960 HU into my 07 Vibe, I hoped it would fix my poor reception in the car. I drive a bunch of other cars in the same area (and driveway), and they all seem to have a better pull than my Vibe. In my research here I learned that the Vibe does in fact have a built in signal booster, but I think that mine may be shot.I have done a little playing which supports this:I have the same signal when the black wire which is along side the antenna wire in the dash is unplugged or plugged in, yet it has 12V. I don't know if there is a fuse for it, or where the module itself would be hidden, but I have checked all the fuses in the interior panel, and they were all good.Also, just since my last ripping apart the dash this week, a couple times while driving my stereo starts emitting some engine electrical noise. I haven't investigated it at all yet, so I don't know if it's just a loose wire, or if I have a grounding problem somewhere.Any ideas on these?Many thanks,-James
