Help! New HU, worked for 5 days - now no bass

Post by mbstuart »

I have a 2003 Vibe with the Moon & Tunes package (I just recently found this out after looking to test my amp on a co-worker's Vibe without the add on)I put in a Pioneer HU and all was good for about 5 days. Then all of the sudden I lost all my Bass. I assumed it was a fuse but have not been able to find one blown and have no idea what could be wrong. I've asked some people over the phone but no real solutions yet. I placed the original factory HU in and it doesn't restore the bass at all so the problem is in: wiring or amp or fuses?Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did the install myself and am by no means an expert so speak slowly

So I'm thinking of bypassing the factory Amp altogether for lack of a better game plan. Any suggestions on that front? At least I will know then if the Amp is the culprit. I have my amp unmounted so I was hoping to find a M&T Vibe owner to test my "suspect" amp in.

So I did find another M&T Vibe owner and tried my AMP and she had all the bass she needed...So my AMP is fine.I am at a complete loss and not enjoying my Vibe like I should be. I need to pay someone that knows what their doing to just fix it up.No ideas on this forum though huh?

Have you checked the sub itself? Possibly blown? Maybe it's as simple as a disconnected wire?

Any update on this? I am having similar problem. I have bass when faded to front. But when I fade to the rear there is no bass and very tinny sound.
