I just got my car inspected. The dealership failed it because the right brake drum was worn. I have 150,00 miles on the car, mostly highway. I still have the original shoes on the rear that are only worn about 50%. Is it possible that the drums could wear out before the original shoes? I'm skeptical, but I let them replace the brake drum anyway because I can't get my car on the navy base with a rejection sticker.
