roof rack rails are coming loose.. (?)

Post by bodhi_tree777 »

I haven't been driving this car much until recently (mostly in the hands of my better half) and I just noticed today that one of the roof rails and the gasket around it have come loose in the middle. Like so:On it's own, it's raised up just slightly. When you press down on it or push up on it there's a good bit of movement. What kind of fasteners are under there (which is what I assume has come loose)? I tried pressing firmly in several areas along the length of it and I can't feel anything clicking into place so I figure something flimsy and expensive broke Oh, and here's a full shot of the car for good measure (I think this may be the first time I've ever posted a full picture of my car on here):Don't mind the dealer plate on the front, it's just a placeholder at the moment. I have plans...

Judging by this:http://home.comcast.net/~sandk...s.htmIt would appear that one of those white clips broke.
