Great News for AfterMarket Radio!!!Dash Kits and harnesses are now available for the VIBE. As I type this I am putting in a SONY CD XM RADIO READY in dash receiver with motorized stealth face. 52 x 4. This will carry my Infinity's and 12 inch subs very well. Factory Tunes package EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!! Reviews on Monday pics coming soon.
Sorry no pics yet. (wait till you see these) As far as my review. This is an awesome radio. Sony has really outdone themselves this time. 200-watt with a built in 7-band EQ and DSO surround sound. DSO (Dynamic Soundstage Organizer) is a new feature on Sony radios that are very useful for bottom mount door speakers (hint hint) The sound actually carries from the floor up into the front of the dash board as if there were another set of tweeters in the car. The overall sound is 10x better than that "OTHER RADIO" You can ride next to trucks with the windows all the way down and still hear your music. It also has a motorized filp face that has two displays. (button or black face) The black face is useful because you are able to see everything no matter how sunny it is outdoors plus when the car is turned off it automatically "flips" to black face as if it appears that there isn't a radio in the car. AUX output, XM-radio ready and mutiple CD changer connections. are just the tip of the iceberg for this radio. It will run ya about $400 complete with install. If you are interested.
What's the model?I've been looking at the Sony CDX-MP70Plays mp3's and i think it'll look nice with the red screen.. hopefully matches the other red instruments in the car..I'll have to wait a little before i get it thou.. wife is going to kill me if i spend any more money on the car..
Car: Two-tone Base Abyss, Moons and tunes, Power packageMods: 20% tint, Reflective Black GrafxWerks Overlays, German Hella Horns, Hardwired Valentine One, red interior dome lights, custom cargo floormat, police scanner, ham radio, cellphone kit and a bunch of antennas on topWishlist: Rubber floormats, million dollars
The kit it self is all black plastic double DIN. The only thing is that you have extra space on the bottom for an EQ maybe. Unfortunatley you can't connect a separate EQ to the sony radio because it has one built in. I'll figure something out. Right now I'm using it has a 2 CD holder. That will give you an idea on how tall the space is. The length is about the same as the factory radio (end to end)
