Can I make these speakers fit?

Post by cptnsolo77 »

I have accumulated points through my banks debit card and im able to get some speakers for my Vibe for FREE !!! . I came across these Power acoustics but it says they will not fit my Vibe. I SHOULD have more in the rear because of the rear window not rolling all the way down. I have a dremel ready !So the questions are:- What is the clearance on the rear speakers ?- Can I gut the factory speaker adapter to make them fit ? http://www.sonicelectronix.com....htmlSeems like good contruction, not crazy about the frequency response, but hey it wont cost me anything LOL.Oh yeah, I have a 03 with Moon & Tunes.

You can make them fit the front with no issues. I had my Zapco CK-16.2s in the front doors, the mid bass is almost 3 1/8" deep. I used a 1/2" spacer and a 3/4" spacer for a total 1.25", I had to trim the inside of the door panel but all was good.
Vibe is gone and will be missed as I've gone country style

.......duh....I forgot to say that they are for the rear. Well if they will fit the front, the rear should be no issue?
