Want to install an amp and sub in 05 moon and tune???

Hi all, I'm having a little issue getting the info I need clearly. I want to connect and aftermarket sub-amp and sub. I get it that the black wire from the stock HU is the amp turn on. I will run my own 8 gauge power from the battery and and ground off the chassis. What is the best place to get to a set of signal wires? Can I take my signal from the stock subwoofer's speaker wires (at the box) or do I need to get at a signal pre-amp? If so which wires are the rear speaker wires (under the seat?). Could one of you all knowing Vibe Gurus pleas chime in on this for me?

If the amp will take a speaker level input, using the speaker wires for the sub would be the easiest thing to do. Sounds like you have a good plan already. Let us know how it turns out. Post some pics, too.
