MORE Michigan meet Video :D

Post by Geo »

Woo! After some serious compression, I got this movie down to 7.1 megs. The movie that I am looking for a place to host, or I can send it out on CD to those that really want it is over 500 megabytes big, has CD quality sound and 640x480ish resolution - Full DV QualityThe video is of Cathy/Mike, John and I driving up. Cathy and Mike are driving the Neptune Vibe GT, John in the lowered Satallite AWD w/sport package Vibe, and I am driving my pretty much stock 2-tone Shadow Vibe :DIn the video we're basically cruising at 80-90mph with jumps to 110 or so seen once (Hooray for Lift!)If you can host this video for me let me know, I'll post a thread later this week or early next about sending out CDs with this on it! :Dhttp://homepage.mac.com/geo_san/movies/vibesmall.movNeed quicktime? http://www.apple.com/quicktime

Very nice Geo! Can't go wrong with the Linkin Park! Wish I could help you on the hosting of the large one, but I don't have anywhere near that much space. I suppose one way to do it would be to distribute over Kazaa or some form of P2P.

I could try putting it on Kazaa, see if that works. If you have AIM contact me over it and I'll try a file transfer through that. It seems to work for some people, but doesn't work for others. It's weird like that.Triton: Yes! The music is Linkin Park - Faint. It was actually playing on CD during the evening shots in the movie, and I thought it would make a great song to post driving to. Plus there's the whole "I won't be ignored" phrase in the song, and I felt it fit nicely with the Vibe :DLets see if I can get it out to anyone who is interested. My uploads are capped @ 16k/sec I believe ... hopefully higher with DSL next week :D

Thanks Geo. Are your IM's working on here? I have been trying to IM you about how you made the picture in your signature and how I am interested in a CD as well. Let me know.

lol! I normally have pop-up blocking ON while on the web, trouble is - it blocks IMs from coming up with GenVibe! >_I sent you a slew of messages just now, reply when you can, I'll keep the blocking off for a while. If you REALLY need to get ahold of me: I am on AIM literally 24/7, and I am keeping Yahoo/MSN open more often now. It's just more efficient for me if you contact me via those other programs! :DCathy: Glad ya like it! I'll make sure that you get the good quality vid as soon as I can ^_^

What would be in there as a title? I'm using Kazaa Lite so it doesn't let me search by filename. Vibe brings up several results, but not really what I'm looking for.

It'll come up as a title with: vibecaravanJust hold on though, I am getting a weird error right now with trying to actually PLAY the movie. Something about it being a file that Quicktime doesn't understand. >_I just tried it on another PC, and it still won't play on that. The file is NOT on Kazaa right now as result. I'm gonna mess with some settings to see if I can get it to work.Grrr... this sucks.

That was BadVibe's and he has 18" Motegis.
