I just installed a new HU in my 2003 Vibe and now there is an annoying beep.

I just installed a new radio and it works fine (thanks to this forum!) but now there is a really loud high pitched beep after i turn the car off and if the door is open.I thought it might be the "you forgot your keys" noise but that beep is a series of short beeps. This is just a long, loud beep. What did I do?

Are the lights turned on? I have a 09 but I assume its the same chime pattern.. Keys in the ignition: beep beep beep beep...Lights on: beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

LOL not to worry. Everyone does stupid stuff pertaining to their cars! Sometimes my parking lights will get mysteriously turned on. And I'm frantically wondering what my cars beeping at me for until I realize what it is
