To All, I just want to thank you all for the help I've already gotten from this website. I have a 2005 Vibe GT that I love and try to keep in good health. I bought my Vibe from the Pontiac dealer with 3k miles on it. It was used by the dealership as transportation for a year - I was the first official buyer/owner. It didn't come with an owners manual (I just downloaded it here as a PDF) and there's still some extraneous parts in plastic bags the dealer never bothered to put on - it apparently missed the "dealer prep" stage. Regardless, it now has 107k miles on it and I hope to get 250k+ before I'm done. It's been running on Mobil1 synthetic oil since I got it.I was just up on Ebay looking at aftermarket parts for my baby and noticed something called a "cabin filter". Huh? I came here and read the posts on changing it out. Huh?!? I just accessed it for the first time in 5 years. Yes, it was NASTY. I cleaned it as best I could with compressed air, but a new one is on it's way ($14 all in on eBay)I appreciate all the info and tips I get here. I'll be a regular visitor from now on.Thanks again.

And with such a mileage goal, this site will save. you. money. There are many easy maintenance explanations on here that will help you get to that 250k. I'm curious about GT v. Base lifespans, clutches aside. Also depends on driving habits.
