From today's The Car Connection:Pontiac Won’t Replace Sunfire a la CobaltAutomotive News says Pontiac will stick by the current Sunfire compact while the similar Chevrolet Cavalier is retired. The industry weekly says that Chevrolet will begin building the new Cobalt at the same Lordstown, Ohio, plant where the current Cavalier/Sunfire are built, but that Pontiac will continue to sell a version of the current car for at least a few years after the Cavalier is replaced. Pontiac also sells the entry-level Vibe five-door hatchback to supplement the aging Sunfire, which received a mild revamp for the 2003 model year. Pontiac execs tell the paper they expect to sell 60,000 Vibes this year, and continue to examine other options for a true entry-level compact to replace the Sunfire.
Thanks for the update Robert G. That's an interesting number of sales for the VIbe yearly. That would almost double the amount of sales for the Vibe per year.Shadow Realm
