Very nice!!! But if you look at how your transmission operates you'll find that it's only a top gear limiter with slightly more aggressive shifting!

Check out the installation instructions here .Also, I see the paint is starting to come off your engine cover like many other '09-'10 2.4L owners here. You may want to look into getting one of these to dress your engine up a little and get rid of the ugly flaking paint.

May be a good reason for my dad to come to to FL and help me a bit (Plus he likes to golf ha!) But as I said I'm not too mechanically inclined so what are the benefits of the typhoon other than looks and sound? haha.

If you two aren't far from each other, he may be willing to give you a hand. It's mostly the look and the sound, although K&N claims it adds 9.06 horsepower as well. It does definitely seem to add some oomph when you step on the gas. I have also seen a steady 1-2 mpg increase, so that's a plus especially with gas prices these days.

The typhoon is defiantly worth it IMO. I got mine for like 240 on Amazon. It made a noticeable difference performance wise. mpg wise I saw a slight decline but thats my foots fault . I also run 93 in mine and switched to NGK IX's and when I get on it it f***ing moves now. Wasn't too bad to install took me maybe 30 minutes including cleaning the MAF.

Ok, next question haha. Will it effect my factory warranty or my GM protection plan warranty if I install one? Does anyone have a model # or tips on what to search for. I see people have said they purchased them on ebay, Amazon

Read up on the Magnuson-moss act: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M...y_ActUnless they can prove that the part caused the problem, you'll be fine!

Yes, K&N's tests shows that the most horsepower gains are in the 5000-6000 RPM range (aka the "I need to merge on the highway" speeds ) with a very slight decrease in horsepower at the lowest RPM (probably barely noticable. And you'll notice a MPG gain if you drive conservatively (which I *finally* started doing since gas prices went up, and aside from this automatic engine having the world's slowest shifting it seems like, which we use the sport shifter to compensate for, it's not so bad). This last tank I got 28mpg, with 70% city/traffic highway, and 30% normal highway. I consider that awesome with all the idling it did. Going for higher on this tank!

I see people have said they purchased them on ebay, AmazonJust as star_deceiver said, it won't void your warranty unless they can prove it caused the problem you were trying to get taken care of under the warranty. Mine has been on for almost two years now and I have never had a problem with it making the Vibe run weird or causing any lights to come on or anything like that. I had to take my Vibe to the dealer a couple times for all the pedal drama last year and I did remove the intake only because it's very simple to remove and re-install and I wanted 100% assurance that they wouldn't give me a hard time about it, but it really wasn't necessary. There are a ton of the K&N intakes on eBay. The part number is: #69-8613TS. Everything I have read on here though says that using the manual shift mode decreases mileage, so you may want to reconsider that .

The red doesn't match perfectly a bit brighter than the car. I think it looks ok though. Deff sand as much of the fading pain on the letters as you can before applying.

Why don't you just mask and paint it with some high temp paint?

Yeah I sanded and used the alcohol. But I could still see some of the paint on it but thought it would be ok. I shouldn't have rushed the job lol.

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing . I thought I had sanded enough of the paint off the first time, but I hadn't . Fortunately for me I had ordered two of the overlays (one for mine and one for my mom's), so I just used the second one I had and made darn sure to sand all the paint off until the letters were black. Unfortunately now I need to order another overlay for my mom's Vibe though

Is the Vibe all weather cargo mat only for the versions of the car with the Monsoon sub? It looks like I would have a big gap on that side if I got this for my car since i don't have the sub in the cargo hold.I know that on the Toyota side if you went to buy their mat they asked you if you had the sub or not. as they had two part numbers and when online I saw the 2003-2008 models of Vibe have two different part numbers for the Vibe cloth mat (one is for the Monsoon version and one is for the non monsoon)I use one that came out of a 2008 that i had thrown in at carmax. It does not fit 100% but works well enough for my needsBy the way you need to find the Vibe all weather floor mats
