Pontiac Cake

Post by DjGodspeed89 »

So I am about to graduate from my culinary arts /restaraunt mangement course and HALF of our final is to make a three tiered cake at a minumum of ten pounds. Any theme with the option of using any materials in the kitchen. Now, granted I'm no baker or cake maker by any means, but I am satisfied...Mine weighed twenty three pounds and took a total of eight hours making everything from scratch including four gallons of icing and the chocolate cake itsself.Popcan next to it for size comparison......Not sure what I'm going to do with it all.. What do you guys and girls think? ??

I'd eat that (except for the fondant... ick). But I love the colors! You'll make another one for the next regional meet, right?

And I agree, fondant is like eating sugar infused cardboard. Ha, its not that bad but its definately not the best part about this buttercream icing chocolate cake! Ive already started the eating/ handing out as much as possible process to friends and i have only touched about 1/5 of the back half of the bottom portion. ALOT OF FREAKIN CAKE!!
