What the heck is with these fog lights

Post by Socks »

Hello everyone, I never really post on here since, well, I actually have very little to complain about on the vibe and few things ( knock on wood ) seem to break. Until now. I have never in my life seen a fog light bust like it did on my wife's little vibe. Doesnt it seem strange to anyone that a simple rock can bust right through these things? I just remembered a group buy on here and I remember thinking why the heck would you need these covers for fog lights? Hehehe I guess the jokes on me now. Now im in a hunt to try and find a new one without paying an arm and a leg. Just wondering how many others have had this. Oh, and speaking of wierd things breaking, im still waiting for a coil spring to break, both my other pontiacs had that happen to them

There are plenty of fog lights on ebay. I even have one in my area for sale. One of mine is actually cracked, but still works (fingers crossed). When you really think about it, those plastic covers make sense...

because the fog light lens are glass...so they break way easier. the coil in the coil packs? not a real issue, from my knowlege..unless they are man handled a little hard.

I suspect mine was from the minor sideswipe, they didnt replace the scratched headlight, so a cracked fog wouldn't register on their radar either.*EDIT: I WAS NOT the owner or driver when it was sideswiped.
