I got this code only a few weeks after getting my 2003 Vibe GT. I went into Advance Auto Parts and they did the scan and then the light went away.I was driving today and it came back on. I used my CarChip to confirm the problem code and did some more research. The CarChip program describes it as "Camshaft Position Sensor 'A' Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)".My searches on GenVibe returned no results and obd-codes.com had this to say:"This indicates that a problem was detected in the camshaft position sensor circuit. Since it says circuit, that means the problem could lie in any part of the circuit - the sensor itself, the wiring, or the PCM. Don't just replace the CPS (camshaft position sensor) and think that will definitely fix it."Has anyone had any experience with this code? I'd start by replacing the sensor but the guy at AAP said it was about $120 to get the part. That would be a bit much to lose if the problem was coming from somewhere else in the system. It doesn't sound like a simple enough of a fix for me to do it on my own so I'll probably just drop the Vibe off at a repair shop and have them take a look at it. If it did turn out to be fairly simple, I'd love to save the money that would otherwise be spent on labor.I haven't noticed any of the symptoms that obd-codes.com mentioned. The car, at least to me, feels normal. They say that there may be rough starting, misfires, or loss of power.I would appreciate any input that you guys may have to offer. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, lovemyraffe. I just looked up the service manual section on the camshaft position sensor. Given my lack of experience with these things, it looks like something I may just leave to the professionals. The procedure for testing the parts looked complex beyond my realm of comfort. It seems like it'd be worth the cost to have peace of mind. It looks like I'll have to put off buying the Magnaflow catback system for a while.
