Need discontinued paint

I'm looking for touch-up paint for my '04 Vibe. I sent my VIN to GmParts Direct and got the following message in return. The GM paint code for the VIN supplied is 16U, medium gray metallic. This paint has been discontinued and is no longer available from GM.Thank You,F NortonGmPartsDirect.com Is there anywhere else I could get this paint?

We have a couple stores locally called CarPaint, I think they may be national. They can mix anything for you, but I'm not sure what their minimum is. I'm sure the dealership knows of a few local places also that can mix it.

My Vibe is medium metallic gray. Maybe the GM parts guy meant 15U.

Have you checked Automotive Touch Up or Paint Scratch?Both of these sites list Med Grey Metallic as 15U (WA914K), so I would expect there was some sort of error. Double check against the sticker in your glove box.

Is the color in question Shadow/Moonstone or Satellite?

A picture of your vibe will be better. You don't want to get the wrong color like I did once for my frosty. When you got the correct code. I suggest getting the touch-up paint on ebay. Less expensive and ships fast. Sometimes they also throw a touch-up kit in your package.

Any sticker that contained the color code is missing from my Vibe, which I bought used. However, the GM parts person who said my color was 16U has now admitted that he or she made a mistake and that it's actually 15U. I got the following email after I questioned the code I had been sent: Please accept my sincerest apology. The correct exterior paint code for the VIN supplied is 15U (not 16U). Then go to ebay and search for 15U/WA914K. You will be able to find it for less.
