Power locks won't work from key

Went out to my car one day and the neither of my key FOBs would work to unlock my doors. Took it to the dealer...batteries are fine and so is the transmitter apparently...it happened after my steering column was replaced...any ideas?? I have had no support from my gm dealer

Why was the steering column replaced? And who replaced it? I'd take it to the shop that replaced it, as it seems maybe they forgot to connect something.

Did the fob not work the first time you tried it after the dealer did work on the car, or did it work for a whilel after you got it back and then one day just stopped working?If it was the first time after they worked on it. maybe they somehow wiped the remote entry system, and you'll need to reprogram it to recognize your key fobs. Theres a procedure for that for the early vibes on here somewhere, don't know if that applies to yours though.

it worked for a few days afterward and then nothing...apparently now they are saying its some kind of block in the dash...they have to take the dash apart to fix it

There was rattling noise in the steering wheel so I took it into the dealer...they first told me it was the intermediate steering shaft and that didn't fix it so they replaced the whole steering column and that made it 10x worse ...then my Keys Fobs stopped working...brought it back into the dealer and they told me I needed a new steering column...I told them they just put one in and they told me it must have been defective...no confidence in this dealer whatsoever..
