Hi,Sometimes my check engine is on and the code is P-2446 Sec Air Inj Sys Switching Valve Stuck Closed Bank1. It shut down and come back again. Where is that piece and what can I do to repair it. Also, what's that part, i mean what it does.Thanks!

Is your car stock, or have you done any work with the intake/exhaust recently? If you have, make sure that all your vacuum lines are connected correctly.It is my understanding that the secondary air injection system is an emissions system that pumps air into the exhaust system to assist in the cat converter in cold weather to reduce emissions.Looks like there are 4 possible causes of this error code:1 - Open or short circuit condition2 - Failed VSV3 - Failed pressure sensor4 - Failed air switching valve Reading around online it seems that moisture can get trapped in the pump and/or valve and cause corrosion that eventually leads to failure.Unfortunately I have no direct experience with this, hopefully someone who does will chime in.
