Touch-up paint in Canada

Is there touch-up paint for VIBE available in Canada ?( preferably GM product. ) My VIBE is Frosty Whitethank you

Yes there is. It is also available at Toyota dealers.

So, I'd just call up my dealer and ask for touch-up paint for VIBE?Or is there a technical name for it ? Where can I find out more about this paint ?thank you

Yup. Your paint code number should be on a sticker inside the glovebox or on a sticker inside the driver's side door jam, or 'B' Pillar. You need to get to know your dealer a little better. Don't be afraid to call and ask for anything from them. That's what they're there for. They should be eager to help you with anything, even if you think it might be a dumb question.

I see, I will call the dealer tomorrow.Now, here's a question I think would be better answered here.I have "over coating" for my car's paint job, which comes with a warranty of 3 years/ 60 km.( I believe it covers rusting and other paint related problems )If I apply the touch-up paint myself, will that void the warranty ? thank you

I think you might be referring to undercoating, which is a noise reduction and rust-inhibiting coat applied to the undercarriage.But I could be wrong...However I've never heard of "overcoating."

OK, apparently I used the wrong term... hehe. Anyway, I think it's like Scotch Guard for the exterior paint and it's supposed to help the paint sustain rain and so on...I was told NOT TO WAX my VIBE because I have that coating job done.BTW, I do have under-coating for my VIBE too, one simply can't do without undercoating in Canada.-------------About the touch-up paint, a friend told me I could buy it in Canadian Tire and since my VIBE is white, any white will do the job.Is that true ? or should I opt for genuine GM touch-up ? thanks

Never heard of "overcoating" or even the concept of it.Must be a Canadian thing.

NO! Buy the touchup paint from the dealer, not Crappy Tire.Sounds like you have a 'PERMA SHINE' type product on your paint. If the warranty says to not wax the car, then don't. If anything ever happens to the paint, they should fix it no charge as long as you didn't wax it. If you apply touch up paint, you should have that area re-treated. They probably do this no charge. You have to follow all the rules and recommendations to maintain the warranty in good standing. If anything happens to the paint, you're free to nail them.
