That isn't exactly any body kit, or anything. If your Vibe is a single color, and not this one with the gray cladding, than it is optioned up. This gray cladding is how some Vibes came from the factory, and the monotone paint scheme was a factory option. You would need to get whole new cladding to make it look like this. I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's plastic underneath the paint anyways, so the fenders won't rust-out like other cars. And welcome to Genvibe!

HEY! If it's Lava or Abyss, lets just swap! Really, I found out that the monotone cars have that cladding just like KITT said, it's just painted the same color as the body of your car, so lucky you!

Thanks for the welcoming, I'm glad there is a site for Vibe owners. I should also let you all know that almost all of my cladding is dinged, cracked and scratched very badly...so i was planning to replace it anyway, so i wanted to the matte grey cladding thinking it would be more resilient for dirt roads and dirty snow. or maybe I should just Rhino cover my current cladding?

either way you'd probably have to take it off. finding a set of cladding would be hard since most in a junk yard are wrecked.

I was looking at doing my Matrix with a slightly darker grey on the lower fron and rear along with a Toyota Debage

If the plastic is still solid, and in one piece, I'd say go ahead and Rhino line it. I think it'd be the first.I have found multiple Vibes which are junked whose cladding is still good, actually.

First off, welcome to GenVibe! Secondly, I think you might be the first who wants to go from monotone to the grey cladding. I agree with the others. It will probably be tough to find the cladding in decent shape in a junk yard. I'm not saying it's impossible, but difficult. I would say try the Rhino lining. I've seen it on the exterior of several vehicles and it seems to hold up decently. But as for the reason of doing it, I don't think there is an advantage of having the cladding vs. paint for the dirt roads and dirty snow.
