Greetings!I plan on eventually buying an amplifier to drive my four speakers and was wondering about good mounting options. I'd like to keep as much of my trunk space open as possible but it seems that I'll have to make a sacrifice. Are there any common spots near the back to mount that amp that will be somewhat out of the way? My subwoofer amp is mounted under the passenger seat. I'd consider putting the new amp there as well but I'd be worried about cooling.I'd love to see pictures of where you guys have mounted your amps! Any suggestions are also appreciated. Also, I apologize if this has been covered before. My search attempts failed to yield any useful results.

I assume you're using the Arc Audio amp mentioned in your signature to drive your speakers. I looked up the dimensions of that and am concerned that the amps I'm looking at won't end up fitting down there.Would you say that there is a bit of room to work or was the Arc Audio cutting it pretty close? The passenger's seat seems to have a ton of space available underneath but the driver's side doesn't seem as open.My plan right now is to just keep my current Kicker amp to power my sub instead of replacing it with a 5 channel amp. This seems like it'd be the cleanest possible install since the amps can remain hidden. I would like to sell the Kicker and replace it with a slightly smaller monoblock amp since it was more tight of a fit than I would have liked.I'll eventually take a closer look at the space under the driver's seat to get a better idea. It's too rainy and cold to be squatting down outside right now, though. ---Update:I just came across a Pioneer 4 channel amp that's smaller than the Arc Audio. I've got it bookmarked so I'll consider using that for my four speakers. It's nice having some slight confidence that it will fit nicely under the seat!

What amps are you going to run? you could think about ditching the pockets in the rear quarters and putting them there, I had a P.C. and a standalone DSP unit mounted back there. There is plenty of room for the length, but you would have to worry about the width.

Yeah, it's the Arc and it was cutting it close. Bought it because of the small footprint since under the seat amps were the plan once I ditched the stealth idea.
Thanks for the tips, guys!I'm thinking about ditching the Kicker altogether and buying a Kenwood XR-5S. It's powerful enough for my needs and would be pretty small. I could just put it under the passenger seat and avoid worrying about getting something to fit under the driver's seat. The sub channel doesn't deliver as much power as the Kicker but I should be fine with 350 watts RMS. I'm only going to be pushing a single 12" driver (2 ohms) but I may eventually start looking for a smaller sub and box. I'd like to preserve as much space in there as possible.

I love what you have done here. Is there anything special I would have to do here to mount an amp inside those places? Do you think I would have to leave it open for cooling air? Also, is the plastic easily removable in that location so I can run power/ground/ amp turn-on wires?

I am not sure on the 09's as I have never seen behind the panels, but on the 03-08 I can get at least one of my Zapco 360.4s behind each panel. They are 7.5" w X 18" L x 2" H, I could probably get a 500.1 mounted behind each 360 (7.5" w X 12" L x 2" H). You would probably want to add a fan (there is a vent to the outside at the bottom of the cavity that leads to the rear bumper) that could blow cool air.I had to remove the factory storage pockets to get the P.C. and DSP in their positions and I had to fabricate a mounting bracket, MDF for the DSP and a MDF abs plastic combination for the P.C.. I installed hurricane nuts on the mounts, drilled holes in the metal behind the plastic panel and secured the mounts with some M10 socket head cap screws. The panels in the 03-08 are super easy to remove, the rear sill pops up remove the 4 anchor screws and the panel pops off. Here is a few pics of the amount of space behind the panels.Passenger sideDriver Side

Those are some very good looking pics. I think im gonna mount my amp on the left side using your idea. Im just about to start my fiberglass sub box but Im a little nervous. Ive got the whole are taped off under 3 layers of masking tape and I am about to put a layer of aluminum foil on it as well. After that the next step is to start the fiberglassing. I have never done it before and the only person I know who has fibered before is my father and he has only done small applications
