Aftermarket Fog Light Assemblies - Brand?

Post by Crabbycrab »

Hi all,I have searched for all the info on these that I can find on GenVibe. I've found a lot of lamentation over the dealers' prices, and ToolGuys' protectors (which I plan to replicate), but I have a few questions. Not looking for anything too fancy, just a good deal on replacements. Amazon has a pair for $78.95 from AutoLightsBulbs, PartsGeek has 2 brands ("Replacement" and "Action Crash") for a little bit more. Any effective differences here? The Action Crash assemblies have "CAPA Certified" and non models. Does buying non-CAPA assemblies equate to buying junk? With custom Polycarbonate protectors installed, does it matter what brand of assemblies I get, or can I just go for the least expensive? Thanks for any input.

Yup, both of them. CrabbyVibe came that way when I got it almost 2 months ago. It was one of the few things that helped get the price down at the lot.

If you want a cheap fix that still looks okay, you could do what I did: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=42431 Mine are still working well after their fix.
