Need help with lowering springs

Post by g.serrano »

I'm new at this. My husband has a pontiac vibe 06 model. I'm looking on getting him some lowering springs to lower the front and back 1.5' along with a body kit..any suggestions..??? thanks!

If you can find them I would suggest getting the recently discontinued Eibach Sportline springs. As for the kit, that's a matter of taste. Good luck. The drop is 1.8 (Front) and 2.1 (Rear)For an idea of what they look like setteled see my gallery, http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=39830

I really like my Tein H-tech. About 1.5" drop all around.

On the first gen Vibes I've looked at pictures of Tein S Tech and Tein H Tech and I'm hard pressed to notice the difference. I'd probably recommend the H Tech - the price for Tein when you get them off eBay is a lot cheaper than Eibach (if you can find them). If you did come across a set of Eibach Pro-Kits they would give you the 1.5" (approx) drop you are looking for. I have Pro-Kits on a Civic and love 'em.I also have the H-Techs in hand for my Vibe but have not gotten them installed yet.

I recently did a month long search for springs. I wanted the sportlines, but could not find them at all.. anywhere. The prokit from Eibach isn't low enough if you ask me.I went with B&G, they lowered around 1.7 front and back. Tightened the handling, but still soft/smooth on general driving. (My wife hardley notices).I like the look of more drop, but I can still load up the family in mine now without tire rub over big bounces.

B & G have a very good rep.
