Believe it or not, the bumper is fine it is sitting in the trunk. This is the car I had issues with Fri. My day started off with my Vibe's back window exploding on my drive to work. After I switched cars with the fiance I lost the rear end on slush changing lanes. I was sliding left, right, left, right. I was about to pull out of it and then I touched the road edge and lost the front as well. Into the guard rail. Smash! A few choice cuss words. And then I got out to see the damage. I filled out the report with the police and was able to drive it off the interstate (broken tyrods and all) I parked it at K-Mart and waited for the Tow Truck. Tow truck took us to this shop who said it wasnt worth fixing and they would give me $500 for the car. I just put a new flex pipe and cat on it the weekend before. Turns out my fiance had only liability and we have a choice: take the $500 or try to fix it. So I will try to fix it. Its at my work just sitting there for now. Here are pics of all the damage. I need a starting point and I think the computer may be the most expensive.
Is the steering rack damaged? Is the left rear tire/assembly bent at all?See how much the tie rods, steering rack, headlight, fenders, ect will be at the wreckers. If you have a u-pick-ur-part (or equivenent selfserve auto wreckers) even better, you can tool up and go shopping!!!A starting point is fixing the steering and being able to at least drive the car. The lights and such can come later.
The steering is useable. Its not idea but the other side is fine. The rear is good. I am just trying to make it driveable and then I will work on the cosmetics.
