It's driving me crazy. Whenever I accelerate or decelerate (or make a turn) there is what sounds like a ball bearing rolling back and forth somewhere around front passenger area. I thought it was coming from inside the door so I removed the interior door panel but found nothing. Now I'm thinking it's coming from somewhere inside the dash/glove box area (there is nothing rolling around in the glove box, already checked). Anybody else have this problem or know what is might be?
could be something under the carpet, up against one of the rockers.. there are cavities all along the floor for wires and such.. Could always turn the radio up louder.. lol..
Anything in the bottom of your center console that could be rolling around? How about in the door pocket? I see an interior tear down in your future....that would drive me nuts!!

Also look at the back seat. The bottom part of the seat is bolted down to the floor pan. Undo those bolts then your seat will flip up.It's all metal in there, so if something slipped under the back seat, it could be rolling around. Also you'll notice when you undo those bolts that the piece can flip up under the seat so you don't have to bolt it back down. I left mine out in case I need under there
I have the same kind of noise. Haven't found it and it's driving me nuts. Nothing inside the door frame, and nothing obviously wrong in or behind the glove box.My best guess is that something got into the floor vent under the front seat. The sound is very much like something hard rolling around in a plastic tube.I'm about to tear into it - keep you posted.- Charlie- 2005 Salsa Red
I had a noise like that when I got the car found out that for me it was simple, in the glove box someone put my spare lug nuts in there and one fell out of the box and was rolling around I managed to fish it out and that fixed the issue for me.
I hear the same thing sometimes, and wonder... WTH? It happens for me when I accel/decel... I remember then that there are a few CDs rolling round in the little door cubby. I never used that cubby in my Jeep, so not used to anything in it Maybe yours is as simple as such? I didnt see anyone mention checking there (though I am sure you have already)
