Being who/how I am I never expected to win any popularity contest. I am usually VERY direct, which can turn some people off. I’m a Taurus (no, not the Ford,) what can I say?How did you find GenVibe?Like most, doing research when/after we bought our Vibe.What made you join?Being a Moderator and member of a number of other car forums, I liked what I saw. I had questions as well as a few answers and I wanted to join in the conversation. I wanted to get to know the people here a bit better.How long have you been a member?About one year. In fact it’ll be one year, one month this month. Even if I have nothing to post, I am on here EVERY DAY!! It’s an obsession. LOLzWhat is your favorite thing about the site?‘Hard to say as I am a passionate and emotional person so I take things as they come and react. I guess I enjoy following the exploits of the regular members here, seeing what everybody is up to, or what they feel is important to share with everyone else….As you know we love animals at GenVibe, do you have any pets?Not at the moment. As much as my wife would like to have another cat, she is allergic to pet dander, so it is not likely we will be “petting” any time in the near future. In the past I have taken care of (I don’t believe in “owning” animals/pets, but caring for them) two dogs, and five cats, various hamsters and gerbils. My wife has had various cats, but had to find new homes for them when she found out they were the cause of the distress. What is your Dream Car?Truly, I have many. I watch the Barrett-Jackson auctions on SPEED channel and just drool over many of them!!I still think the MGA is one of the prettiest styled cars there ever was, but I owned two different MGB’s, not MGA’s.My first car was a ’57 Chevy 210 2-dr which I loved and would want another if I had that kind of money.I owned several Volvo (yes, V~O~L~V~O) 1800’s and liked them.My 2nd Gen 1980 Honda Civic is without a doubt the car I most pine over losing. I had a blast with that car for years before the Pennsylvania winter road salt took her from me.But the one that got away has always been a Porsche 911 in one or more of its iterations. It’s been a long standing running joke in my family, “Rich, what do you want for Christmas?”Answer, “A Porsche 911 Turbo…. But I’ll settle for an NA version too.”If you won $1,000,000 tax free what would you do?Retire. As it is, I’ll die before I can afford to but am really tired of working for morons, making them rich and me more stooped over. Get a good investment counselor and invest a large chunk of it for the future. Then, without question, build a nice big garage where I could play all day and night.What’s your favorite?:Movie: Real Genius? Dr. Strangelove? Twelve Angry Men? Inherit The Wind? A Few Good Men? Cross Creek? My Cousin Vinnie? The Karate Kid?Food: Without question, Lobster, tails and claws. And/or, chocolate chip cookies. Color: Can’t say as I have one. I go by what I see. Some colors go with some things while others don’t.TV Show: All four Horsepower TV shows (Spike.) Also, Top Gear (BBC America.) Even the wife likes that one. Game: Backgammon. (Yeah, I know, it ain’t World of Warcraft. )Season: Two, actually. Spring and Fall. Not too hot and not too cold.Sport: Baseball. I’m a Ranger’s (where I am) and Phillies (where I was) fan all the way.Hobby: Automotive….. ANYTHING!! How about car forums? Auto Racing?Book/Magazine: C.K.Deluxe is my current fav, but I am a long time subscriber to Road & Track as well. Sport Car Compact until they trashed it in favor of Modified. BLAH!!Group or Artist: Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Beatles, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, the Allman Brothers Band.Person: My mother. We don’t usually agree on political matters, but she has been a steady and supportive rock in my life. She is currently 88, forced to be in assisted living which I can tell she hates and is fighting Alzheimer’s disease. She has been a fiercely independent woman who’s final years are not what she had hoped for and I feel sorry for her. Any last words? ‘I am thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who said, “I drank what?”’Am I dying?Seriously, I am very glad to be here and glad to know you all, even if only from afar.

And I don't who all voted for me but a sincere thanks to you all. I was always an underdog in school, most of my life in fact so I can relate to Daniel Son's predicament. I think there are many out there that can which is why the film is still so popular to this day. 06pvibe is certainly not the most interesting screename I've come up with and have thought about asking for a change, but Daniel Son???? No, I don't think so. 12 Angry Men is one of the greats for sure. It was in Madison WI, Pot was decriminalize, $5 fine if caught with under an 1oz. Those were the days and perhaps why I don't remember the dates that well.
