Car Alarms that go "Chirp"

Post by Bastranz »

When I was growing up, there were car alarms that went "chirp/chirp chip" when arming/disarming them. Not "beep beep" with the horn or a soft "bing bing".Also, when the alarm went off, there were all sorts of obnoxious sirens that the car would cycle through. Definitely a great way to grab one's attention!I was wondering...do they still make such alarms in the aftermarket world? If so, which brands and models should I look for? Thanks VERY much for your advice!

What you describe sounds like you might be talking about the alarms I had on two previous cars. The final in the series of alarms sounded like a semi-truck horn. Those were Viper alarms.

DEI... Viper/Python/Clifford...ect... Mine even has a "soft chirp" so it can be loud or soft.. I'm running the Python 872 Responder LE, which is about as good as it gets... Hech, it'll tell interior temp if I want it to... Why I would, I'm not sure, but I could... (along with all sorts of other adjustments and functions)

Thanks for the recommendations. I thought these went out with the 90's, until my dad had one installed on his last car. Viper's Android App seems to be impressive too. Thanks for the tips everyone. This will definitely be useful as I work to better secure my Vibe!
