Attempting to plan a tri-state regional Vibe meet...

Post by Stang2Vibe »

As the PA moderator, I am attempting to plan a tri-state meet for our region. I have noticed that some of our members on the eastern side of PA are having meets with members from NJ and NY. I am on the western side of PA and am largely unable to make it to these meets. Since members from eastern Ohio, northern West Virginia, and western PA are pretty close geographically, I'd like to try to arrange for a meet this summer for members in these areas. Of course, all members from all parts of all states (and provinces for that matter) are more than welcome to come and we'd love to have them. I would be happy to get together with a few more members from the region. I have met with Chad, the WV moderator and he agrees that this would be a good idea and a fun event. I'd like to get a minimum of 10-15 Vibes to show up. Please post if you are interested or have any ideas for the event. We have some preliminary ideas, but are remaining open to suggestions from other members at this time. Thank you and we look forward to meeting some of you this summer!

You guys are of course welcome at my mega meet in August: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=4516But I, of course, understand you guys can't necessarily drive all the way out here...That being said, depending on when you have this event planned, I'd be interested in coming out your way...Let me know when you settle on a date!

I suggest we have it around the Pittsburgh area, because that's kinda in the middle on the 3 states. Also, Robinson Town Center holds large car shows every weekend. Plus plenty of places to eat, and tons of highway access from all directions.

Thanks for the invite, ragingfish. I will have to look into my availability to make it to that meet, it really sounds like fun. I just noticed your posts on this site. If its 5.5 hrs from me, I might be able to make it if I can get off of work that day and can get a hotel room. Since many are coming in from out of town (and the country), we might be able to get a discounted rate on a nearby hotel if we book a block of rooms for everyone who wants to stay overnight.
