well i found out what the strange popping noise coming from my rear brakes is. the rotors are moving around. the holes the lugs go through are too big and the rotor will slip forwards or backwards depending on which direction im going in and they pop when the lugs hit the other side of the hole.
With the wheel off yes it wold knock around, but once the wheel is tightened that clearance on the bolt holes wont matter because the rotor is now sandwiched between the rim and the wheel hub so it should not move
they're the original rotors. and that's the only thing that could be making the noise. i have the wheels torqued to 65. im gonna replace them and see if that works. gonna order some basic replacements from rockauto.com since its just the back.

do you also have the hub centric rings, needed for those rims?As you know I run the exact same rims. I have hub centric rings to reduce the center bore of the rim down to the vibe's bore size. With out those the rim, may twist on the lugs. Also if you don't have the right lug nuts the rim will twist... got a photo of the lug nuts you using?also, what star_deceiver said... proper is 76ft lbs
