Check Eng light on Loss of Power Rough idle - HELP!!

Hi guys,I have a problem with my '03 vibe:The check engine light came on a week ago, It was the second time but those ocasions the light came off on itself, so I didn't put too much attention to this last event.The problem was 4 days ago, when idle the revs are very inconsistent, before there where 85o flat and constant and now they are varying between 900 and dropping every 10 seconds down to 500 revs so the car it's very shaky. Also there is a huge loss of power, I have to accelerate pass the 1500 revs to start driving, when I need fast velocity I need to plan that 15 seconds ahead 'cause the strength of my car is gone. It feel like is running on 3 cyl not 4. I miss my "old" vibe. I could run 1st on every traffic light but now it's like I'm driving a VW bug (I own one and the speed and engine strength is almost the same)Please help, I will go today or tomorrow to run a computer scan on the car but I wanna know if someone has passed through this before and what was the failure on your cars.Thank you all,Regards.

there are so many things it could be but with out knowing what codes are in the computer it would be throwing a dart to fix it. let us know what codes are in there when you get it checked out and then i am sure someone will respond with there story on the code and what it took for them to fix it.
