Input Smoke tails

Post by Ls1jorge »

I just recently bought a can of rustoleum to smoke out my tailights, do I need to prep up my tails to complete this process, or do I just clean up tails & spray?? I really like to have that clean look after it's done, & what sand paper do I need if I need to prep up?? I'm also thinking about doing my headlights but only for eyelids only. I already ordered my DDM Hids 6k Lows only, fogs will be later.

If you are going to "sand" for paint adhesion, use Scotch Brite... red or green, not a lot of pressureYou want to barely scuff, not gouge.. Fine paper would work too, it's just an odd shape, SB follows curves, doesn't gouge... good chemicals too, no 70% alcohol to clean, 99%.. or whatever you use.. NO ACETONE.. The cleaner it is, the better it will stick..
