Got a mailing from my dealer (former Pontiac, now Chevy) saying they are short on used cars and specifically need 2009 Vibes, and also an insert saying Pontiac owners are eligible for certain rebates "in addition to other GM rebate programs". Offer expires Nov. 23rd.Says "up to" $1500 on new 2010 Chevy Equinox. $500 on 2010 Chevy Cruze.Aren't the 2011's out by now? Isn't the first Cruze a 2011?

Those mailings are crap. The dealer has a some sort of data source that lets them know what kind of car you have. They import the data into a sort of form letter, and POOF! They need exactly what you have.

Got a similar letter from Nissan the other day... said they'd give me an extra $1500 to trade in/up... And I get the GM emails showing me how little per month I would need to spend to get into an overoptioned sedan Yup, they have some nice new cars... unfortunatly, there's becoming less and less vehicles in which I could see myself actually buying... I see no reason to trade the Vibe in on anything until it's paid off, that and the manual transmission is becoming an endangered species.

They're not hurting that bad or they'd up the ante a bit higher and MAYBE make it worth somebody's while. Obviously not MINE and several others on this forum
I remember receiving one mailing that said they would pay me $1,000 over fair Kelly Blue Book trade-in price, subject to inspection. Most people think that "fair" means honest etc. whereas we know that for KBB purposes that means a car in somewhat less than good condition.
