If some of you in the U.S. are not aware, there is a webiste that offers a FREE credit report from all 3 institutions. Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. I'll provide the link and details below:http://www.annualcreditreport.com1) This takes you to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp for startup.2) There is no trial or exchange of purchasing information. Just address, SSN, DOB, name, other general data.3) It takes you to a page with the 3 reporters listed, you click on the bottom right button. 4) Each page offers a FULL report that you may print out.5) When done you click the "return to annual report" button to go back and view another institution.6) BE CAREFUL! If you close or backpage by accident, you cannot get back to the report from that company. So be sure to print immediately.7) This is NOT a credit score reporter. Just a redport of credit history.Enjoy!
I use that one as well. Since you can get one free report from all 3 a year. You can check your credit every 4 months. January get your report from Equifax, 4 months later Experian, then 4 months later Transunion. I have done like that in the past. You can get a credit score from Equifax & its supposed to be similar to a FICO score. It will cost you ( bout ten bucks , i think )& its optional. Great post !
