Holiday Decorations

Post by PHXLavaVibe »

Seeing how this is my first official Christmas at the new house I wanted to do it right and decorate for the holidays. I am curious to see what others are doing as far as exterior decorating goes. Below are some pictures of my latest creation. It took me two weekends to finish this project. I started by designing them in AutoCAD on my computer and here is the finished product. I can't believe how well they turned out!

You made those yourself? That's really awesome! I love creative stuff like that.We don't have much "exterior" decorating because we live in a condo, but we'll be doing the usual lights outside and tree inside. We usually put up our decorations on Thanksgiving, but we'll be out of town at the Macy's parade this year, so we'll have to do it when we get back!

I wish I knew AutoCAD like that! I only took it as an intro course at Aquaculture school and made a paper boat. That is awesome though! Being my first Christmas in our home I am spending money on getting everything setup for decor. So far I grabbed another 40ft. extension cord, metal spike spotlight holder, the spotlamp bulb, 2-outlet outdoor remote , 2 3-plug outdoor stakes, and 2-200 and 2-100 Phillips white mini bulbs (non LED). That goes along with the 13 sets of mini-bulbs I already have, plus 2 sets of 4 walkway branches that light up and can be bent to your liking. Fake mistletoe for the house, tree skirt, tree topper...phew...And I still need wreaths, a tree stand, just got ornaments. Man first Christmases are expensive!

Nice craftsmanship You've gotta LOVE the people at Autodesk for creating Autocad. I first learned it back in the mid 80's (version 2.11) then release 10, 12, 14 (all in the 90's), and now my son has access to the latest versions through his high school. Let's see you make something to place on top of your Vibe for the holidays

I don't really have any other decorations planned. I am unfortunately broke at the moment. If I do anything else it will probably be putting up more lights.I did however just finish the design of a nice dog house. Now if only I could find the time and money to build it.Quote, originally posted by tpollauf »Let's see you make something to place on top of your Vibe for the holidaysI don't have my Vibe anymore
