New Stereo? Have ipod, need AUX port?

Post by Stevedfd »

I have a 2006, vibe, sun and sound package. 6 disc CD changer. I dont have an aux port and really want to use my ipod. FM transmitter thing has way to much static.I do not have enough knowledge to take apart/cut wires from my current stereo. Whats the easiest way possible to get my ipod to work with my car?1) Do I need a new stereo, is the only answer?2) Best reccomendations from a normal store like Best Buy?

There are options. I use an iPod2Car interface from Peripheral. I don't know if it will work with the 6-disc headunit though.

if you do choose to go the "new stereo" route i wouldnt buy it from best buy. nothing against them but you can get things online alot cheaper. Crutchfield and Sonic Electronix both include free installation parts, and installation really isnt that difficult, there is alot of support online.
