Cargo rack

Post by Porkchop »

Anyone use one of those cargo racks that goes into a receiver hitch?Have a 2009 GT.Previous vehicle was a Jeep Grand Cherokee that had the tow package. Have a rack that is like new condition and would work slick.Do the Vibes sit too low for this? Weight issue? anything else?Like to know some info before I install a hitch and it wouldn't work anyways.Yak

I believe that the tongue weight of my hitch says 250lb max but the hitch for the GT is nearly identical. It just sits about an inch or two lower.I don't have a cargo rack for it but I do have a trailer and I have no problems!

It is a low sitting vehicle, just wondering if anyone uses those rear cargo racks? Kinda worried if I pull into a gas station that the rack may scrape bottom...

You'll just have to be careful... as some of the members with lowered Vibes could tell you.
