03 Vibe AWD CV Shaft Replacement

What does it take to replace the RH (passemger side) CV shaft? I screwed up the threads reinstalling the nut after getting the bearing replaced. I see that I can get a new/reman shaft for $80 ish. The new nut went on about half way and then seized up. Huh, so much for 5 more minutes and you can have your car back honey.Thanks,Chris
