Installed Typhoon '09 2.4L

Post by dayday »

Installed the '09 Vibe (Matrix 2.4L) K&N Typhoon intake I got today. I must say, after a short drive, it's got a nice little growl to it. I'm looking forward to getting more drive time in tomorrow.

From what I hear, you can't go wrong with the typhoon.Very good call on getting the K&N for your '09 2.4L ! It's a mod that a good majority of us '09 2.4L owners have and love. As a matter of fact, I even convinced my mom to let me put one on her '09 GT back in July ! And now she loves stepping on the gas and hearing the engine!Mine has been on for over a year now with no issues whatsoever. I installed an AEM Dry Flow air filter on mine though so I'll never have to worry about the possibility of over-oiling the K&N filter and doing any damage. Once you get over the initial 'stepping on the gas to hear the sound it makes' phase you should also see a modest increase in mpgs. I average 28-29 mpg with daily driving (50% city / 50% highway) and I've gotten as high as 33.9 with 99% highway driving! You should post some pictures because we love pictures !
