Brakes

The brakes on my Vibe are starting to squeak a little bit I've noticed. It doesn't happen the entire time the brakes are applied; just when a certain "mid-pressure" is applied. Any harder it will stop and any lighter it'll stop. Just wondering if the brakes are getting bad? They are a little over 2 years old. BTW its the factory brake pads.

yeah, I'm not impressed with the 2009's brakes at all. I am hoping someone on this forum could suggest an aftermarket rotor and brake combo that will greatly enhance the braking experience?

mine have a similar squeak and mine is related to the calipers and not the pads as they still have a lot of life left after 65K miles. Told there is no safety issue at this point but will probably replace the calipers when I need to do the brakes. There is a hefty bit of corrosion and rust. from my time spent in Wisconsin and salt road winters.

My brakes have a squeak that will not go away. I have tried everything to get it to stop: new pads, turned the rotors, stop squeak spray, and it always comes back.
