Vibe is gone and will be missed as I've gone country style

Canceled the order the following morning after reading they would be un-rootable. So, my 2nd choice was going to be the Incredible. Wanted to wait for the order cancellation to go through before I placed a new order. Of course within that time frame (less than a week after release day) the 'X' was rooted. A couple days later the order cancellation finally went through so I re-placed my order for an 'X' for myself, and the Incredible for my wife. Now, I'm just waiting for the official OTA 2.2 update to come out for both phones so I can root them.

I have the Droid Eris also. It has some things I like, and some things I don't. But overall it has been a solid phone. I really miss having the qwerty keyboard (flip out/slide out). I want to get the Moto Droid 2 as soon as possible though.

I believe the term you are looking for is a physical keyboard.Quote, originally posted by cebosound »I recently downloaded PdaNet. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like a great alternative to routing, etc. There is more to rooting than just the free wifi. You can also overclock most phones, get rid of the bloatware, and run custom roms.

Your Right SammedNiss. I meant physical qwerty key board. Or hardware qwerty key board. I thought I could get over it with having the virtual keyboard on the droid... but honestly I can't, I miss the real thing.
You totally have unlimited control with your phone. But still I don't see WHAT exactly you can do with it All I DO know is that once rooted, you can use the wifi tether and use the signal from your phone to get internet on your laptop wherever you go, but I heard Verizon's "Unlimited" data plan actually does have a limit

I use to tether to my laptop from my BB all the time. Never once hit a limit.Quote, originally posted by ou.grizzly »I am still using my BB and the internet browsing is less than desirable. That's the main reason my wife and I upgraded from the Curve. For being a "smart" phone, it's pretty pathetic when it came to doing anything on it. The ONLY thing I miss from my BB is the BBM.
