Hit a deer!

Post by futureviber »

In January I hit a deer - it literally came out of no where. rolled up on my hood and then bounced about 10 feet in the air and landed in the road - I got stopped in time. The poor thing got up and ran off - I still hope it was ok and wasn't in pain!Silly thing caused about 3,000 in damage!I was ok though! My husband was driving behing me in an old pickup... he should have left first that morning cause i doubt the deer would have hurt the pickup! He stopped and checked out my car... it was ok enough to drive to work. The Vibe was immediately fixed and looks just like new!

Deer are so dangerous, glad you are okay! Had a friend hit a deer while on a motorcycle... it just jumped right in front of him, he was hurt pretty bad, but has recovered well. Crazy.

Hit a deer years ago in an 84 civic going about 80km/h. Took out the windshield, rear drivers door, and put a dent in the front quarter panel. It tried jumping across the hood, front legs hit the quarter panel, head smashed the windshield and the speed of impact spun its a__ around into the rear drivers side door... yes it died... I can't describe how much that ****ed me off!!!! Bigger then an Elk, ditch it (Elk, Moose, Grizzly, if you can't stop or avoid, your screwed).

Hopefully I won't run into any elk, moose or grizzly around here... That would be a whole other problem.I love the agility of my vibe, a few weeks ago I was driving in town when a little red pos ran a stop sign and stopped in the middle of the intersection. I had to slam on my breaks and make a sharp turn down a side street. The idiot just stayed in the intersection. I stayed stopped on the side street thinking they would come straight but they ended up turning (awkwardly) down the way I had been coming from - probably on drugs or drunk or something and didn't want to get in trouble in case I was calling the cops.I hate the town I work in, I have some idiot pull out in front of me or just not know how to drive at least once a week. Have never had so many issues until i started working in that town.
