Which A/C fitting is the low pressure one?

Post by mntn-biker »

On a 2003 Vibe base model, which A/C fitting is the low pressure one? The one closest to the firewall or the other one?In the next week or two, I will be trying one of these recharge kits that has a stop leak, uv dye, and the R-134a refrigerant (it also comes with a UV pen light to check for leaks). The local repair shop just boned me for $95 to recharge my a/c and put dye in it. They said to come back in when it stops blowing air and they can use their "special leak detector light" on it also known as the UV light. I'm thinking I will look for the leak myself and try to fix it on my own. I'm hoping that the leak is small enough that this stop leak additive will be enough to save me some $ right now since I just finished swapping out my 5 speed for the 6 speed.
