radio issues

Post by daisy55555 »

Hi-My radio for 2008 Vibe has issues. A bulb is out. Everything else works but i can't see time or station info. Replacementradios.com say they can replace lens and bulb for $60 but I will have to find out how to remove radio. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am not a techie so won't be able to put new radio in myself. Thanks!

$60 probably won't even cover the installation cost of a new system. Some people are fanatical about keeping 'factory' appearance, so having your radio repaired is always an option. Others want better sound, MP3's, or other features not offered by the factory sound systems. The factory radio is not all that hard to remove and reinstall. (There are threads with pictures posted of how to disassemble the dash if you feel adventurous and would like to give it a try!)

My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.

Occasionally you can find a used radio on here or eBay.
