My '09 Vibe GT has folding outside mirrors! The local gas station car wash folded one of them in. (Won't be going back there). Only took 2 years to figure this out

Yep, they fold rather than breaking. I like it, trucks have been like that for a long time.

Can't remember - did the pre-2009's have folding side mirrors?

And I just discovered the other day that they fold both ways ! They fold in with the glass facing the door and they fold the other way with the back of the mirror housing facing the door/fender.

I've had them folded in on the ferry to the island. ....and had them folded back in a parking lot I'm not overly interested in seeing how far they fold back though...
