Blower Fan noise.Ok, I know, I know, search and you shall find......but I didn't find.I have an 07 Vibe. I removed the cabin air filter to install a new one and ever since I've had a "buffeting" noise when the fan is on. It is much worse at high speeds, the recirculate button changes nothing, AC to heat, no change. So any ideas? The filter wasn't all that dirty with debris but was clogged with general soil. I don't park under trees so my large debris level is small. The noise is there with the filter in, and with the filter removed. It is there no matter where you are directing the air and if it is on fresh or recirculate. It is annoying but not a REAL problem. Thanks all who are smarter than I!!Dave
Even though you do not think the filter had a lot of debris in it, once you removed the filter, anything on top (particles and such) fell down into the blower motor fan/assembly. This happened when I changed mine out on the 2008 Frosty. You will need to remove the blower motor assembly and shake it out basically.

You are absolutely 100% correct!!After writing the question I went out to the garage, turned on the AC unit (it is in the 90's here today, I know, decadent and wasteful!! but oh so very very nice !) and proceeded to take a look.I Pulled the filter and found that the fan is right there below it, before I knew it I had pulled the computer mount and the fan and removed just one, count them, one leaf.Reassembled and the noise is gone!!I came back into the house to post my fix and here is the problem laid out in a reply and the fix! Thanks for the response and the correct diagnosis!! (even if you were but an hour late with it )Dave
